what is the scope or future in merchant navy?

Its good to go in merchant navy if you have the passion. Merchant Navy is the backbone of international trade. Without Merchant Navy, much of the import export would be stopped. So, it is a job in which you can expect more and more.
   So you should not worry about the scope of Merchant Navy in future.
There is a lot of scope in merchant navy, It still has a good scope.All commerce and trade on the water is conducted by the merchant navy,if you know someone in this field who can help you out then you can do the courses and you will be in safe side but then also you will have to suffer with company waiting and all It, let's you to enjoy your time completely with family. At least 6 months of vacation you will get once you become an officer. It gives you a chance to live with your seniors. You can learn from them a lot.
   
Some companies also following the policy of off-period salary. You will be paid around 35% to 55% of your salary when you are at home.Even after so much flooding. Merchant navy still paying much better than most of the other careers.
